2023 Genesis GV60 Review
The torrent of EV introductions seemingly has no end and this one – the Genesis GV60 – is my favorite electric car yet. It’s a little short on range, no doubt, but its combination of concept styling, incredible performance and practicality is unbeatable at this price.This looks like the cabin you’d see in a concept car at the auto show. It’s amazingly futuristic, tech laden and luxuriously comfortable. Beyond the biometric features that connect car to driver on a higher level, there are little oh-wow moments scattered about from the Crystal Sphere shifter to the mind-blowing 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
The drive is so refined yet sporty with the kind of acceleration you just can’t get in a gas-powered car; it hits you in a warp speed kind of way. And taking a page from the Kona N is a boost button that delivers 10 seconds of grin-inducing, all out performance. There’s even a rear-wheel drive drift mode here. And you can choose your interior soundscape from a menu of options – even a gas engine – or create your own. Hyundai Kia/Genesis is absolutely killing it in the EV world. 235 miles of range though…not quite good enough.
