About This 2017 Acura ILX

At Ideal Automotive Sales of New Jersey, we take pride in being the home of top-quality pre-owned vehicles and new vehicles. If we don’t have the car you’re looking for, we can get it for you. Every effort has been made to ensure that the information contained in all advertisements, promotions, listings, and online content is reliable, accurate, and up-to-date. However, Ideal Automotive Sales of New Jersey expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for typographical errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or misprints in pricing, equipment, or vehicle details, whether published in print, digital format, or otherwise. All information provided is based on standard manufacturer specifications and third-party data sources; therefore, actual vehicle configuration, options, mileage, and condition may vary from vehicle to vehicle. Ideal Automotive Sales of New Jersey does not warrant or guarantee the completeness or accuracy of such information, and all representations herein are expressly subject to verification by the consumer prior to purchase. All vehicles are offered for sale strictly cosmetically As-Is, unless otherwise expressly stated in writing at the time of sale. Prices displayed are subject to constant fluctuation and may be adjusted daily, hourly, or without advance notice based on market conditions, inquiries, competitive bidding, inventory levels, or online traffic specific to each vehicle. Internet specials, promotional pricing, and coupon-based offers are considered Internet-only incentives and are valid exclusively when presented in printed form to the salesperson at the initiation of the transaction. Failure to present such proof will render promotions null and void, and in-store standard retail pricing shall apply. Internet-only pricing will not be applied retroactively to prior transactions. Displayed pricing excludes, without limitation, the following charges: state and local sales taxes, title fees, registration fees, license plate fees, destination charges, finance charges, bank fees, optional credit insurance, GAP coverage, dealer administrative/documentary fees (currently $895), and any applicable reconditioning, transportation, or compliance costs. Some vehicles may include a mandatory pre-delivery inspection service fee of $2,995, which covers—but is not limited to—mechanical reconditioning, cosmetic restoration, detailing, repairs, and safety checks performed prior to retail sale. Select vehicles may also include dealer-installed accessories or aftermarket products, with associated costs ranging from $3,369 to $7,993, which are not included in the published price unless otherwise noted in writing. Every vehicle sold by Ideal Automotive Sales of New Jersey is equipped with an anti-theft LoJack system; an additional cost for LoJack activation and installation is incurred by the purchaser, with the exact cost varying depending on the specific vehicle model and equipment. All advertised offers, promotions, and incentives are non-transferable, may not be combined, and are subject to withdrawal or modification without prior notice. Any single promotional offer shall be deemed exclusive and cannot be stacked or aggregated with other offers, coupons, rebates, loyalty programs, or manufacturer incentives. Internet specials cannot be extended beyond their posted expiration and expire automatically at 12:00 midnight on the date displayed. All financing is subject to credit approval through designated lenders, with terms, rates, and down payment requirements subject to change based on applicant qualifications. Illustrative monthly payment examples (e.g., 72-month term at 5.9% APR with 20% down payment) are estimates only and do not constitute a binding financing offer. Final terms will be determined solely at the time of contract execution and are contingent upon lender approval. All vehicles are subject to prior sale and may be removed from availability at any time. Ideal Automotive Sales of New Jersey reserves the absolute right to adjust, modify, or withdraw pricing, promotions, and inventory listings at its sole discretion, without incurring liability or obligation to any party. Prospective purchasers are strongly encouraged to verify all material facts with an Ideal Automotive Sales of New Jersey Sales Manager prior to completing any transaction. Verification can be made by calling 201-991-0047 or visiting the dealership in person. By engaging in any transaction with Ideal Automotive Sales of New Jersey, the consumer acknowledges and accepts that all sales are governed exclusively by the written terms and conditions of the final retail installment contract or bill of sale, which supersede any prior advertisements, oral statements, or representations. No employee, representative, or agent of Ideal Automotive Sales of New Jersey is authorized to make binding promises or guarantees beyond those expressly contained in the executed sales documents.

2017 Acura ILX Review

As Acura's gateway car is prepared for its upcoming Civic duty, here's one last look at the current generation ILX. When Acura returned to the entry-level luxury segment in 2012 with the introduction of the Honda Civic-based ILX, they predicted they’d sell about 40,000 a year. Now, in what’s expected to be the ILX’s final model year before it transitions to the latest Civic platform, it’s likely to sell at less than half that rate in 2016. The sharply creased front end and Jewel Eye LED headlights lead with a strong impression and in this Catalina Blue Pearl, the ILX strikes quite the pose. And as you would expect from Honda/Acura products, there’s an ergonomic easiness to this car which makes it very likeable. The leather trimmed driver’s seat and big-picture forward visibility just feels so comfortable. The infotainment is a bit dusty and clumsy to use but it’s ELS Studio 10-speaker premium audio system sounds pretty sweet. There’s 1 USB port in the center console and no wireless charging nor Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Yet the quality and aesthetics of the cabin in general are strong. The ILX will certainly benefit from the new Civic's platform and powertrain options but as is, this one's not too shabby. There's a get in and drive connection you get with this car that's endearing. It's pretty fun to whip around and the ride has a level of softness baked in that keeps it Acura plush. But I miss the manual transmission and this car's age is certainly showing. The engine is spunky and the DCT is mostly transparent as an automatic transmission though dual clutch newbies will notice there’s something a little different. In Sport mode the sounds get a touch racy as the gears stay low and the revs get high but it doesn’t shift as quickly with the paddles in manual mode as compared with similar gearboxes. So leaving it to shift for itself is just as rewarding. For a front-wheel drive car with a propensity for understeer, it’s pretty engaging and rewards a good driver with a delightful level of ambitious handling and a comfort-tuned suspension. It does make you yearn however, for an Acura with rear-wheel drive. It’s not a fast car but its 201 horsepower and 180 pound feet of torque is balanced by its 25mpg city/35mpg highway rating. The AcuraWatch Plus Package brings an amazing level of semi-autonomous safety features to the ILX including a Lane Keeping Assist System which keeps the car in its lane even if your hands are not on the wheel for a brief period of time. Adaptive Cruise, Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Information, Rear Cross Traffic…it’s all here at a handsome price. In a vacuum, the ILX makes a solid case for entry-level luxury car purchase, but the fact is that when the heralded next gen Honda Civic went on sale this car instantly became the red headed stepchild. Expected in calendar year 2017, a brand which struggles with its car lineup should finally have an ILX that’ll grab some attention.
