2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5T – The Sedan That Made Everyone Reconsider
When did sensible become this seductive? The 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5T rewrites midsize sedan expectations—delivering turbocharged performance, sharp handling, upscale materials, and Honda's legendary reliability in a design so striking that automotive journalists exhausted their thesaurus of praise. This is the sedan that made crossover shoppers pause and wonder why they were settling for bloated compromises.

Award-Winning Excellence: The 2018 Accord captured North American Car of the Year, Car and Driver 10Best, and earned universal acclaim for "transforming the family sedan segment." Reviewers gushed about "handling that rivals sport sedans," "interior quality that embarrasses luxury brands," and "turbocharged power that makes economy fun." This isn't just a used Accord; it's an award-winning masterpiece at used-car pricing.

The 10th-generation design remains absolutely contemporary—the low, wide stance, aggressive front fascia, sculpted hood with power bulge, coupe-like roofline, and distinctive LED lighting front and rear create presence that embarrasses older luxury sedans. The Sport's 19-inch black alloy wheels, dual exhaust outlets, rear spoiler, and gloss-black trim announce this isn't your parent's Accord. This is Honda flexing design muscles while competitors played it safe.

Slide into the sport seats and experience Honda's interior revolution—premium materials everywhere, contrast stitching, soft-touch surfaces that feel expensive, and an intuitive layout that makes everything fall naturally to hand. The leather-wrapped steering wheel feels perfectly weighted, the digital instrument cluster provides customizable displays, and the cabin remains whisper-quiet at highway speeds. Honda engineered an interior that competes with Acuras costing thousands more.

The turbocharged 1.5-liter engine produces 192 horsepower with torque that hits early and pulls strong through the rev range—acceleration that surprises passengers while delivering impressive fuel economy. The CVT transmission mimics traditional gearing seamlessly, providing engaging acceleration without the rubber-band effect plaguing competitors. Sport mode sharpens throttle response and holds gears longer for spirited driving. This is efficiency that forgot to be boring.

The Handling Revelation: Precise steering, sport-tuned suspension, and a lower center of gravity transform back roads into entertainment—the Accord rotates eagerly through corners with composure that makes you forget you're driving a practical four-door. This is the sedan that reminded enthusiasts why cars matter.

Technology That Still Impresses: The 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto keeps you connected seamlessly. Honda Sensing suite includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, collision mitigation braking, and road departure mitigation—safety technology that remains cutting-edge today.

Key Features: • Turbocharged 1.5L Engine (192 HP, 192 lb-ft Torque) • CVT Transmission with Sport Mode • Sport Seats with Premium Cloth & Contrast Stitching • 19-Inch Black Alloy Wheels • 8-Inch Touchscreen with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto • Honda Sensing Safety Suite • Adaptive Cruise Control • Lane Keeping Assist System • Collision Mitigation Braking • Dual-Zone Climate Control • Power Moonroof • LED Headlights & Taillights • Push-Button Start with Smart Entry • Rear Spoiler • Dual Exhaust Outlets • 7-Inch Digital Driver Display

Honda Reliability Legend: This isn't just marketing—Honda engines routinely exceed 200,000 miles with basic maintenance. The 1.5T proves itself reliable across Honda's lineup. You're acquiring a sedan that's barely broken in, with decades of service remaining.

The Smart Play: Luxury brands depreciate catastrophically. The Accord Sport offers comparable materials, superior reliability, and more engaging dynamics at a fraction of the cost. This is intelligence wrapped in style.

Still Relevant: The 2018 design remains current, the technology works flawlessly today, and the safety features remain state-of-the-art. This isn't buying old; it's buying proven.

Fuel Economy Winner: Mid-30s MPG highway means you're saving money every tank while enjoying turbocharged performance—efficiency that actually feels rewarding.

Perfect for commuters, driving enthusiasts, practical buyers, and individuals who refuse boring transportation—who discovered the best vehicles deliver engagement, reliability, and value without compromise.

2018 Honda Accord Review

As SUV and truck demand continues to rise while traditional car sales slip, what does the future hold for the family sedan? Once the bread-and-butter of every automaker’s lineup, crossover SUVs are stealing the limelight. But don’t tell Honda the car is dead. The Accord has been one of the best-selling midsize sedans for years and it’s coming into 2018 new from the ground up. This 10th generation Accord completely reimagines the sedan, with a more sporting and athletic appearance. With a considerably longer wheelbase, a lower height and slightly shorter length, proportions now take on a more premium, coupe-like sedan stance. As expected, the V6 bows out replaced with a duo of turbocharged engines – a new 1.5-liter, 192 horsepower 4-cylinder mated to a CVT or available 6-speed manual transmission in Sport trim or the new 2.0-liter from the Civic Type R, producing 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, paired to either a 10-speed automatic or the 6-speed stick, exclusive to the Accord Sport. All Accords now come equipped with a Two-Mode Driving System featuring Normal and Sport settings, allowing the driver to dial-up/down the vehicle's reflexes. The system engages with multiple chassis and drivetrain components, including the new electric power steering, automatic transmission, drive-by-wire throttle, adaptive dampers and Active Sound Control system, to provide the driver with an expanded range of driving characteristics. An ECON mode is also available that helps improve fuel efficiency. Lighter yet more rigid, the Accord boasts improved ride quality, cabin quietness and dynamic performance, according to Honda. The 1.5-liter powered Accord is available in six trims while the 2.0-liter model has four trims. And the new Accord Hybrid will be available in five trims. All come equipped with Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technologies.
